NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC, has advertised 147 posts for engineers and executives across its renewable energy business - solar, wind, battery energy storage and hydrogen. Advertisement 04/26. The terms deserve stating up front. These are fixed-term appointments for three years, extendable by up to two further years at the organisation's discretion, and they are aimed at experienced professionals rather than new graduates. Every engineering post carries a minimum of three years' post-qualification executive experience. The single exception is Executive (RE-Finance), where a qualified CA or CMA needs only one year, article period excluded. Approximate CTC is Rs 11 lakh a year for every post, covering fixed and variable pay, HRA, mediclaim for the employee, spouse, dependent parents and two children, performance-linked variable pay and a satisfactory service grant. NGEL describes the figure as indicative - the actual sum depends on experience and place of posting. Postings may be at the corporate office, stations, sites, clusters, joint ventures or subsidiaries anywhere in India. Selection is deliberately left open. NGEL may hold a Computer Based Test or dispense with it and go directly to interview after shortlisting on age, qualification and experience. With a CBT, the paper is 100 questions in two hours split into Subject Knowledge and Aptitude sections, negative marking of a quarter mark, and the final score weights CBT 70, experience 10 and interview 20. Without one, experience carries 30 and the interview 70. CBT centres, if used, are Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal and Raipur. Upper age is 35 for all posts as on the closing date, with standard relaxations. Engineering degrees require 65 per cent, or 55 per cent for SC, ST and PwBD. The fee is Rs 500 for General, EWS and OBC candidates; SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and women pay nothing. The window runs from 18 August to 6 PM on 7 September 2026.
